Welcome to the Mesh!
Built on the AREDN framework and Ubiquiti technology, mesh networks provide robust data and voice communications systems for amateur radio operators. Working with others I am currently building out a "Mesh Island" in the Inland Empire region of San Bernardino County, CA. Currently linked to Orange and San Diego Counties as well as Attleboro, MA by mesh tunnels, I am establishing RF links to both San Diego and Orange Counties as you read. The purpose of this site is to provide helpful information, resource guides about mesh, and links to additional resources. On October 16, 2016 a new 5GHZ RocketSector 120, channel 178, was installed providing coverage for the Inland Empire East Valley adding support and greater coverage to the 2.4 GHz RocketSector 120, channel -2, currently covering East Redlands, Yucaipa, and Calimesa. The 5 Ghz node faces 330 NNW and the 2.4 Ghz faces 40 NE. On October 1, 2016 a Rocketdish M5 was deployed creating a strong link to Pleasant's Peak in Orange County providing RF connectivity to to Orange and San Diego groups. On January 1, 2017 a Rocketdish M5was deployed providing coverage of the East Valley West to Ontario. On January 14, 2017 a Rocketdish M5 was deployed providing P2P connections to Elsinore Peak and San Diego County.
